Thankfully, one of the key replay values of Half-Life is a free multiplayer feature. Thanks to WON.net, you are able to play the game for free against other players as long as you have an internet connection, and no conflicting problems. There has also been a new program called STEAM which allows you to play online by universally combining all mods and internet play into one. WON will eventually be shutting down during the Summer of 2004, so everyone will have to convert to STEAM eventually. Anyhow, this section will describe some of the necessary basics on how to enhance your multiplayer experience.
